Navigate InferOwl by role

Understand how InferOwl adjusts navigation for recruiters, managers, and owners, and why a page or action may not appear in your workspace.

Owner, Manager, Recruiter5 minVerified September 2, 2026

InferOwl builds the sidebar from your role, your effective permissions, and your tenant's enabled features. A hidden item usually means the role, permission, or feature requirement is not currently met.

Workspace sections

Customer navigation is grouped into Home, ATS, Communication, Owl Intel, Tools, HR & Payroll, Insights & Reports, and Administration. Empty sections are removed after access rules are applied.

Find the right workspace

  1. 01

    Start from Dashboard

The dashboard is the default landing page for recruiters, managers, and owners. It provides the role-appropriate entry point into daily work.

  2. 02

    Use ATS for recruiting records

Open Jobs, Candidate Pipeline, Talent, Clients, or Placements & Starts for core recruiting and placement activity.

  3. 03

    Use Communication for conversations

Email, Calls, SMS, and Team Chat appear when their applicable feature and access rules allow them.

  4. 04

    Use Administration for management work

Managers and owners can access workforce, audit, wallet, team, and settings areas according to route rules. Seats and billing are owner-only.

  5. 05

Ask an owner when an action is missing

Some pages are visible to a role while individual buttons depend on an effective permission. An owner can review workspace access and user-specific overrides.

Important access boundaries

Recruiters cannot open manager or owner routes such as team management, wallet, reports, analytics, or audit history. Managers cannot open owner-only billing, seats, general workspace configuration, feature controls, white-label settings, or role configuration.

Troubleshooting

A navigation item described by a teammate is missing.

Likely cause: Your role, an effective permission, or a tenant feature flag does not allow the item.

Confirm which account and workspace you are using, then ask an owner to review your role and access. Feature-controlled areas must also be enabled for the tenant.

Opening a saved link returns you to the dashboard.

Likely cause: The route is not allowed for your current role.

Use the matching workspace available in your sidebar or ask an owner whether your role should be changed.
