A job can be saved as a draft while details are incomplete or created directly with open status so recruiting can begin. The title is required; other fields should be completed when they affect matching, scheduling, rates, or candidate readiness.

Create a job record
- 01
Open Jobs and select New job
If you can view jobs but cannot create one, ask an owner to grant Create job permission.
- 02
Enter the basics
Add a job title. Optionally add the client or VMS requisition ID and choose the contract type. InferOwl also creates its own searchable job ID.
- 03
Associate the client, facility, and lead recruiter
Choose a client, then one of that client's facilities. If there is no facility record, enter the city or region. Managers and owners can optionally assign an active recruiter as lead during creation.
- 04
Describe the role and schedule
Add profession, primary and secondary specialty, shift type and pattern, weekly hours, dates, length, openings, bill rate, and GP percentage as applicable.
- 05
Add requirements and routing
Open the optional sections to add VMS or MSP routing, EMR tags, local or exclusive indicators, on-call and weekend rotation, experience range, certification tags, and a description.
- 06
Save draft or create and open
Select Save draft for incomplete work. Select Create & open when the job is ready for active recruiting. InferOwl opens the new job record after creation.
Draft and open status
Draft keeps the job from being treated as ready for recruiting. Open makes the job available to the active recruiting workflow. Choose the status deliberately; opening a job does not replace the need to review its requirements.
Troubleshooting
The page says your role can view jobs but cannot create them.
Likely cause: Your effective permissions do not include Create job.
Ask an owner to grant Create job access, then reopen the form.
The Facility field is unavailable.
Likely cause: A client has not been selected.
Select a client first. InferOwl then loads the facilities associated with that client.
The job does not save.
Likely cause: The required title is missing or a value is outside its accepted range.
Add a title and review numeric fields such as weekly hours, openings, rates, and percentages before trying again. If you cancel after entering information, choose Keep editing to avoid discarding unsaved work.
