A webhook is an event notification sent to a configured destination so another system can respond. The notification and the receiving system's completed operation are separate parts of the exchange.
Establish what the notification covers
Technical owners should confirm the supported events, destination, verification method, and recovery behavior for the intended connection. Receiving one notification does not prove that every relevant event is covered or that the destination saved the expected update.
In InferOwl, owners manage webhook subscriptions and managers can review them. The setup includes selected events and a destination URL. The signing secret is shown once when created and must be stored through the agency's approved secure process.
Check the receiving result
Use approved sample data to inspect the intended event and destination record during setup. Agree who investigates failed or partial operations before relying on the connection. Never include a signing secret in a support email or screenshot. Use the connection-methods reference for scope and the integration-support guide to describe a failed exchange safely.
