An integration is an agreed connection through which systems exchange information or coordinate an operation. Its useful scope is defined by the records involved, direction of change, access, and expected result.
Specify the actual exchange
Name the source and destination, the fields that move, and the person responsible for each side. Confirm who handles errors and conflicting values. A one-time file import is different from an ongoing connection, and a read operation is different from permission to update records.
For an illustrative staffing workflow, an agency may want candidate information from one system available in another. The technical owners must establish the supported method, mapping, and acceptance checks before recruiters rely on it.
Confirm availability
